ABOUT LILIAN
Lilian is currently majoring in computer science with a minor in practical arts. She spent two years in UCSD but now is at CU Boulder. Lilian's greatest hope is to be a part of projects that increase the quality of life for people as quality of life creates happiness allowing people to work better but also be more content from deep within. She believes that increasing quality of life happens through converting current cities into ones that are human Centric rather than car Centric. She believes that the pursuit of integrating psychology, quality, functionality, aesthetics, environmentally friendly methods, and spirituality can create cities where people feel fulfilled to live in. She believes community is one of the most important things to living a fulfilling human life and she currently is in her pursuit of finding a third space for herself. She believes that these third spaces as centerpieces to cities might be very important but is unsure of how cities can integrate/create these third spaces.
Lilian also has a great interest in fashion. Not surprisingly she greatly values the quality of clothing materials. Throughout the years she has become a hater of fast fashion not just through the aesthetics of saying something cool but through experience and research. She has learned this through experience as she used to just buy anything she thought was cool or cheap, however as time progressed, she slowly realized that the material of clothing not only affects how long it lasts but also greatly affects how nice it feels to wear and how nice it looks. After going to Japan, she fully realized the importance of quality and how there is no need for bad quality fast fashion to be the norm.
Recently she has become an avid YouTube watcher as this fuels her hobbies like photography, drawing, painting, clothing/jewelry making, fashion, design (interior, graphic, product, etc.), psychology, and learning about urban planning.
She greatly believes in the power of belief and consistency. Belief shapes the world you live in. Your own beliefs can change not only the way you see yourself but how others see you and essentially the way you live. This greatly ties in with consistency. What you believe is how you constantly think of certain ideas, peoples, and events. She believes that there is no need to consistently do super hard things. She knows that to do something consistently, you need to change your beliefs and also make initial goals easier and funner, and to keep progressing these goals. Eventually you will be able to consistently do really hard things. Ironically, she struggles to consistently work out as her beliefs and goals in this aspect are very weak.
